RULES
& REGULATIONS
- All registrants must be 18 years of age or older and
must present a valid drivers license or picture ID at sign
in at
The New England Sports Center, Marlboro, MA.
- Current and
former professional players that are free agents according
to the collective bargaining agreement
between the
NHL and the NHLPA are eligible.
- Current non-drafted college
players are eligible with any expense re-imbursement subject
to current NCAA eligibility
requirements.
- All $100 entrance fees are non-refundable.
- Try-out dates
and times are non-transferable under any circumstance.
- Registrants
who would like more than one try out date must request
the extra session by Email and
will be assigned
another
time and date based on availability. The non-refundable
$100 fee is applicable for each date requested.
- All
registrants must wear full game gear. Face shields/cages
and mouth guards are optional
for
the initial skills.
If a player is chosen to participate in the
Be A Bruin Training
Camp in July a minimum of a half face shield
must be worn.
- All registrants must sign a television
waiver (see registration page) and agree to allow
the producers of “Be A Bruin” to
use their image and voice on the series.
All participants will also agree, by signing
this
waiver, to be interviewed by “Be
A Bruin” film crew. Signing of this
waiver does not guarantee that a participant
will
be included in the television
series.
- All registrants must sign a medical
and liability waiver that will be provided
On
Line and again
upon sign-in at the
Marlboro Facility.
- All participants in the
initial testing must provide their own transportation,
food and lodging.
The 36
invitees to “Be
A Bruin Training Camp” in July 2006
will be provided with room and board and
reasonable travel expenses within
North America.
- Zero tolerance rule (off
ice) - Any behavior by a participant or
of that participant’s
guests that is deemed disruptive or abusive
to the other participants, guests, officials
or film crew will result in that participant
and guests
being
removed from the facility and the resultant
forfeit of the $100.00 fee. If that participant
has already been tested,
the
scores will be discarded and the participant
will be disqualified from the competition.
- Zero tolerance (on ice) – Fighting and any injury
caused by illegal stick usage, contact
or equipment usage that is deemed intentional is prohibitive
and will result
in the
offending player being disqualified.
- The
on-ice scrimmaging during the “Be A Bruin Training
Camp” will be refereed according
to current NHL rules and regulations.
- The producers of “Be A Bruin” reserve
the right to change any rule or regulation
without notice.
